2016 LOMP FALL MEETING: OCTOBER 15-16
Join the League of Minnesota Poets at Arrowwood Lodge, located at 6967 Lake Forest Road, off Highway 371 in Brainerd Lakes Country/Baxter. All the hotel rooms are cozy with an “Up North” décor including log furniture. Make your room reservations early, before September 14, 2016 to take advantage of the reduced rate and room availability. Make sure you let the staff know you are attending the League of MN Poets Fall Conference. LouAn Muhm from the Park Rapids be our keynote speaker. She has a lot she can share about her experience as an educator and poet. Learn about how a rural poet makes connections to increase her visibility.
Send a 1-page poem of 40 lines or fewer for Sunday morning critique. Font must be 12 point or larger. Send 2 copies, one with identifying information, the other without. Put form in the right hand corner. Do not send prize-winning poems. Send poem-in-progress that need a fresh pair of eyes and a different perspective--which could improve the poem. Critique notes will be handed out after the session.
