Members have the opportunity to attend two statewide meetings of LOMP members,
and an Annual Meeting of State Poets (held in a different state each year).
Your Membership entitles you to publish editor-approved poems in the Moccasin.

Members can promote their poetry on local and national levels.
In addition, members can also help sponsor contests for students.

    • WHY OUR GROUP EXISTS


    We are a group of poets who wish to improve our poetry writing skills and help other do the same.

    We often assign a poem style giving members an opportunity to write something that may be new to them. Through this process one learns what they like to write, what they don't, and what comes naturally to them.

    As a chapter of LOMP, we are affiliated with the National Federation of State Poetry Societies. This combination gives the opportunity to publish our poems, enter poetry contests, and network with other poets around the country.
